How to Market Your Business Offline (in a fun way)

Okay real talk: does marketing ever feel like you’re stuck in a loop?

Make a reel.
Schedule another post.
Repeat.

And while social media totally has its place, it is not the only way to show off your business and bring in dream clients.

That’s why I teamed up with the brilliant Adriana and Hannah from Vznayres to share some creative marketing ideas that aren’t just smart - they're fun, doable, and honestly...kind of exciting to try.

This isn’t a "ditch social media" message. But it is about shaking things up, thinking outside the box, and reaching your people in ways that feel natural and effective.

So if you’ve been looking for a way to market your business that doesn’t require dancing on TikTok or posting every day like it’s your full-time job...this one’s for you.

Grab your beverage of choice, and let’s get into it!

Go Offline: In-Person Marketing is Still a Game-Changer

If you're only marketing online, you're missing out on some seriously powerful connection opportunities. In-person marketing might sound old school, but it works.

Here are a few ideas to test out:

1. Networking Events + Local Groups

  • Check out local workshops, creative meetups, or networking nights.

  • Join a chamber of commerce or local biz group.

  • Hop on Eventbrite or Facebook Events to find something near you.

2. Pop-Ups + Sponsorships

  • Team up with a local event or vendor market.

  • Host your own tiny workshop or pop-up to share your expertise.

3. Build Actual Relationships

Meeting someone in person builds trust fast. It’s a great way to talk about what you do without the pressure of a pitch deck.

Try Low-Key Product Placement (No Merch Store Needed)

Even if you don’t sell physical products, a little product placement can go a long way in making your brand more memorable.

Here’s how you can sneak your brand into everyday life:

  • Rock a branded t-shirt or hat when you’re out and about.

  • Use branded mugs, water bottles, or notebooks in your social content.

  • Hand out a few custom stickers or keychains at events (yes, people still love stickers).

You don’t need a full merch line. Just one or two things that feel very you can go a long way in building recognition.

Experiential Marketing: Give People a Moment to Remember

Experiential marketing is all about giving people a little experience they actually feel.
You don’t need a massive budget to make it happen. You just need a little creativity.

Try this:

  • Host a free mini workshop (online or in-person)

  • Use QR codes in fun, unexpected places to send people to your offers

  • Add a little flair to your delivery process—think branded gift boxes, pop-up-style experiences, or interactive challenges

One of our favorite examples? A music artist who used QR codes on signs in public spaces to promote their Spotify - casual, low-cost, and effective.

The goal: make people pause and remember you.

Print Isn’t Dead: Mailers Still Work

We’re all so used to digital everything that a postcard or flyer can feel...kind of special.

Send out:

  • A round of thank-you postcards to past clients

  • Flyers to local businesses

  • A mailer about an upcoming offer or seasonal special

💌A tip from Rach:

You can even automate hand written cards to send for client’s birthdays or project thank you’s! My favorite sites to use are: Handwrytten and Postable

It’s nice not having to keep a ton of printed cards at home, or especially if you travel frequently! I have used Postable while traveling in Europe to send client cards back in the USA.

TLDR: Your Marketing Can Be Fun (Promise)

So many folks feel stuck or overwhelmed by marketing because they think it has to look one way. But it doesn’t. You can reach people in creative, authentic ways that actually feel good to do.

Try just one new idea from this post. Something simple. Something fun. Maybe it’s that branded coffee mug. Maybe it’s a pop-up at your favorite local event. Maybe it’s a sticker with a QR code.

And if you want support mapping it all out? We got you.
